I have never been one to go to the horror movies. After I see a horror movie I tend to have an over active imagination that gets the better of me. So I tend to have trouble getting to sleep and disturbed dreams, perhaps that is the point of the horror movie but I don't like it.
That all said; the terrifying thing I have ever seen was my baby daughter in a fit of febrile seizures. She had been having a fever and the process of her heating up and shaking down caused her brain to send spasms through her body and scared the hell out of my wife and I. This one still bothers me when I sleep.
My new terror in life is my son’s case of asthma. Beside the seizures my daughter had once, the most difficult thing as a parent is watching my son struggling for breath and having had to take him to be hospitalised several times.
Wonder what the movie directors would do if they could capture this sort of fear.
