Yesterday I finally got my Ampallang.

Just to bring everything up to speed in this article...

I was first pierced when I was 15 by a girl I was interested in using a needle and one of her old studs. The needle was cleaned with a match. This was probably a bad idea but hey I got my first earring. After that I pierced my ears a few more times never doing it the right way.

My first experience in a non-lobal piercing was when I got my left nipple piecred in 2000 as a valentine pressent for my wife. That was a life changing experience as I started to accept that I wanted to change my body, I then started to research other piercings and I came accross a picture of a magic cross at the old bme/freeq site (now BMEzine). I researched the piercings and fell in love with the ampallang but didn't quite have the courage to get it done. I had also fallen in love with the look of the magic cross (Ampallang + Apadravya it forms a cross of bars through the head of the penis). So I got my first genital piercing in 2001. I opted for the Apadravya since it is not quite as painful as the ampallang.

I loved my apadravya but I had to remove it due to it complicating my wife's pregnacy. When given a choice between a pierced dick and sex, I chose sex.

Fast forward another pregnacy, some more non-genital piercings and a couple of years beyond. In part 1 I described reopening my apadravya, now in part 2 I will talk about my ampallang and the end of my 7 year quest to get up the courage to get my ampallang piercing.

After calling a great many piercing studios and having no luck I finally called Cold Steel in Camden. I spoke to Julie and arranged a time for the Sunday coming up (I think it was Wednesday when I called). I was very ecited and sharedmy excitement with a body piercing community that I am part of as well as with my wife. One of the things that I have read about the Ampallang is that it is more of a ritual than a piercing and I wanted to buy into that read on the event. So saturday night my wife and I started to get me ready for the piercing the following day, I shaved and trimmed my pubic hair to make sure it was looking good, then my wife redied my hair so a bright and beautiful blue then shaved the side of my hawk with a razor taking it down to skin. In the morning I shaved my face and got dressed up in proper punker fashion, I took great care in getting my hawk up perfectly in a fin. Then we were off (to a different studio to talk to them about how they f-ed up a vertical hood piercing then to Camden).

We arrived in Camden a little before my check in time so we took a few minutes to absorb the feeling of Camden market. My wife loves the place and I completely understand why. Every where are touchstones to the culture that we chose to be a poart of. Tattooing and piercing studios are everywhere. Punk clothes and goth fashion line the streets and it is a place that both of us don't feel like the outsiders.

We made our way down to Cold Steel and spoke to Julie about the piercing and paid my deposist before being shooed out for an hour to get a bite to eat. We stopped at Pret and I had a fantastic tuna salad. We then toured through a few shops and picked up a few nik-naks. Then back to Cold Steel.

I spoke to the guy at the counter about care of the piercing as I filled out he consent forms and then went upstairs with my wife and Julie to get the piercing done. Julie went through the piercing, what would happen and how to take care of it etc. She was very through. Julie and my wife talked about various things while Julie set up for the piercing. They appologised for talking over me but I was actually kind of greatful for something to focus on other the impending pain. Julie took a few minutes to mark up my penis to make sure that she was going to be piercing the right spot then my wife came over held my hand. Julie clamped the head of my penis, I took a deep breath and let it out. The world exploded with pain ad a 2.4mm needle went through my cock from one side to the other. It was the most intense pain I have ever experienced however it was over after a couple of seconds.

I took a couple of moments to untense my body from the pain and to look at the needle through the end of my dick. It was astonding ot look at. I gave Julie the okay to replace the needle with the jewelry and that was it, all done. I finally had my Ampallang and Magic Cross! I was very happy about that. I pulled myself together, hung out for a few minutes to get used to the adriniline and then we were out the door.

We walked to Mornington cresent and my sadistic wife was turned on and so all over me making me horny. This had the effect of making me erect and an erection on a fresh piercing is painful (not as bad as the piercing but bad enough). So she teased me on the tube ride back to the car.

Today the piercing is doing fine even though we ended up having a quick bit of sex (not advised I bled really badly).


By the way it was super hot watching my wife clean my blood off of her body. Normally it is the other way around.
